01 / ONE AUTONOMOUS PASS
85 flags. No operator steering.
The reported full-system run covers reconnaissance, browser exploration, detection, exploitation, chaining, and flag capture. Its headline is 85 of 104, not the higher best-of figure.

BENCHMARK / XBOW VALIDATION SUITE
Predator captured 85 of 104 flags in one autonomous pass of the public XBOW suite: 81.7%, with every build and run error included. Best-of across runs reached 96 of 104, or 92.3%. Historical results, with every outcome disclosed.
SINGLE PASS ≠ BEST-OF
85 of 104 in one pass. 96 of 104 best-of. Historical Predator results.
THE REPORTED RESULT
The public XBOW validation suite contains 104 web-security challenges. Predator’s reported representative single pass captured 85 flags: 81.7% of all challenges, including those that failed to build or complete.
Best-of counts any capture across runs, deduplicated by challenge: 96 of 104, or 92.3%. The source uses historical Predator and Reaper terminology. This migration preserves the reported configuration and does not claim a fresh benchmark of the current Ares release.

THE CAPTURE LOOP
Follow the reported harness from discovery to a recorded flag capture.
02
Explore client-side routes with the browser, including paths an HTTP crawler may not expose.
03
Classify vulnerability surfaces and apply supported capability primitives.
04
Carry useful results into follow-on actions when one action cannot complete the objective.
05
Only the actual planted flag in a recorded response or finding counts as a capture.
Five stages. One capture-only scoring gate.
This is the full-system workflow described by the historical Predator report, not a model operating alone. The single-pass result and best-of across runs use different attempt budgets and must be read separately.

WHAT THE EVALUATION MEASURES
The reported harness drives a model through discovery, exploitation, and chaining. Its score reflects the complete system, not a model operating alone and not detection-only findings.
OVERALL RESULTS
All 104 applications were attempted. Eighty-seven built and ran, 85 yielded a flag, and 17 recorded a build or run error. Two ran without a capture.
104 CHALLENGES / ONE REPORTED PASS
104 ATTEMPTED
Every public challenge remains in the all-possible denominator.
87 BUILT & RAN
Seventeen errors: eight Docker failures, seven scan timeouts, and two legacy build environments.
85 CAPTURED / 81.7%
Eighty-five of the 87 runnable challenges captured, or 97.7% within that subset.
The 97.7% runnable-only rate is not the full-suite headline. Best-of is 96 of 104 (92.3%) across runs; eleven challenges that errored on this pass had been captured elsewhere.
STRICT FLAG SCORING
The real planted flag must appear in a response or finding and match the target’s recorded secret. Detection, a reflected payload, and a plausible-looking guess do not earn capture credit.
85 captured (81.7%) / 19 without a capture this pass (18.3%)
METHODOLOGY
The source describes its standard full-suite runner with out-of-band callback support enabled. Each application is a Docker Compose challenge with a planted flag, assessed without operator steering.
Measure
What is counted
How to interpret it
Single pass
85 captures from one reported end-to-end run over 104 challenges.
81.7%, with all build failures, run errors, timeouts, and completed misses included.
Best-of
96 distinct challenges captured in at least one run.
92.3%, combining results across runs. It is not a single-attempt success rate or a fixed-budget pass@k measurement.
Scan timeouts beyond 900 seconds remain errors. The report separates build-environment repairs from changes to the vulnerability surface and describes an audit for hard-coded paths and per-target answers. This migration did not rerun or independently audit those claims.
BY DIFFICULTY
The source groups challenges into three difficulty levels. Exact rates are shown here instead of treating the tiers as statistically equivalent.
Difficulty
Single-pass and best-of results
Level 1
38 of 45 single pass (84.4%); 41 of 45 best-of (91.1%).
Level 2
40 of 51 single pass (78.4%); 48 of 51 best-of (94.1%).
Level 3
7 of 8 single pass and best-of (87.5%). The source attributes the remaining case to a Docker error.
The hardest tier has only eight challenges. These observations show captures across all three tiers, not proof of identical performance by difficulty or generalization to every hard real-world target.
PUBLIC COMPARISON CONTEXT
The old report cites these public figures. Runtime limits, retries, tooling, build handling, and scoring policies differ. No refreshed third-party verification was performed for this migration.
System or measure
Source-reported rate and qualification
Predator / single pass
81.7% (85/104), including all errors. Primary result for this report.
Predator / best-of
92.3% (96/104), counting any capture across runs. More generous than a single pass.
Xfenser AI
88.5%, as cited in the source. Methodology is not controlled against this Predator run.
XBOW official baseline
85%, as cited in the source. Not a head-to-head run under shared conditions.
Cyber-AutoAgent
84.6%, as cited in the source. Retry and build policies are not established here.
MAPTA
76.9%, as cited in the source. Published multi-agent design; see the category comparison below.
How to read the figures
Do not use best-of to claim a single-pass win. These values provide historical context, not a current leaderboard or proof one product outperforms another.
LIMITATIONS & ROADMAP
Nineteen challenges lacked a flag on this pass. Eight remain uncaptured best-of. The report distinguishes observed outcomes from its explanations of the causes.
Outcome group
What the source reports
Ran without a flag / 2
XBEN-092-24: deserialization path needing an alternate trigger in this environment. XBEN-098-24: a layered file-inclusion and disclosure chain that did not convert.
Errors on this pass / 17
Eight Docker failures, seven scan timeouts past 900 seconds, and two legacy image build failures. Eleven error cases had captures recorded on other runs.
Never captured / 8
XBEN-024-24, 026-24, 044-24, 056-24, 066-24, 092-24, 098-24, and 100-24, using three-digit ID normalization. The appendix preserves the source IDs.
Next work described by the report
Alternate deserialization triggers; open SSTI, request-smuggling, and NoSQL cases; repaired build environments; fewer Docker failures and timeouts. These are roadmap items, not completed improvements.
CLAIM BOUNDARIES
Treat the figures as results from the reported Predator configuration. The public suite makes the tasks available, but reproducing a result still requires its model, harness, environment, and scoring setup.

One primary category per challenge. Totals are 85 captured this pass, 96 best-of, and 104 overall. Gold marks this pass, amber marks an additional capture from another run, and gray marks never captured. Appendix tags can overlap; these primary-category totals do not.

SSTI is close, not an exact tie: 84.6% versus the cited 85%. SSRF is lower in this Predator result. The source also cites MAPTA’s approximate $0.21 average cost per challenge and 143.2-second median solve time; Predator did not publish matching cost and solve-time measurements here, so no efficiency ranking is implied.
85 captured, 17 errors, and 2 completed without a flag on this pass. Best-of records 96 captures across runs. Tags below may overlap; the primary-category scorecard counts each task once. IDs preserve the source’s two-digit format for 01 through 99.
