01 / RECURRING DISCOVERY

Refresh the surface you can reach.

Schedule eligible attack surface mapping across supported verified-domain and host scopes. Compare completed sweeps, investigate newly observed or no-longer-observed services, and reconcile discoveries with your inventory. Discovery does not authorize an attack.

02 / SCHEDULED ASSESSMENTS

Give each application the right cadence.

Configure recurring assessments for eligible individual targets with the appropriate depth, unattended credentials, and time zone. Use separate schedules when access or operational needs differ. Launch remains subject to authorization, readiness, and available capacity.

03 / EVIDENCE-LED PRIORITIZATION

Decide what deserves the next investigation.

Review severity, confidence, and underlying evidence alongside business context. Use the Command Center and findings queue to focus work by target, status, or period. Explainable exposure signals can help select hosts for deeper assessment.

04 / REMEDIATION REVIEW

A status change is not proof of a fix.

Assign owners and use supported issue tracker integrations to put actionable findings into engineering workflows. After remediation, reassess the affected target and review whether the original behavior can still be reproduced.

05 / SCHEDULE OPERATIONS

Check that the work actually happened.

Review next execution, readiness, recent results, and run history, including failed, deferred, or skipped occurrences. Pause, resume, edit, duplicate, or use Run now as needed. A missing assessment provides no evidence of the target’s security.

THE EXPOSURE MANAGEMENT CYCLE

Six decisions worth repeating.

Six decisions worth repeating.

An ongoing program is a sequence of scoped engagements and informed decisions. The cycle below describes the operating workflow, not a guarantee of complete coverage, automatic remediation, or real-time detection.

01

Scope

Define authorized targets, access, depth, and network vantage.

02

Discover

Investigate reachable services and changes against inventory.

03

Prioritize

Review severity, confidence, evidence, and business context.

04

Validate

Assess the authorized target and review engagement coverage.

05

Remediate

Assign ownership and hand actionable evidence to engineering.

06

Reassess

Test the affected behavior again and interpret the result.

COMPLEMENTARY WORKSTREAMS

Mapping and assessment answer different questions.

Mapping and assessment answer different questions.

Use separate cadences for discovery, application testing, release readiness, and remediation investigation. Finding an asset does not authorize its assessment.

Workstream

Question it helps answer

Scope boundary

Attack surface mapping

What responded, and what changed between observations?

Supported verified-domain and eligible host or target selections; broader mapping does not authorize exploitation.

Scheduled assessment

What security behavior can this authorized target demonstrate?

Eligible individual registered targets. Saved target-group assessment scheduling is not currently supported.

CI/CD check

Do findings meet the team’s release thresholds?

Supported pipeline integrations add a release decision point; they complement recurring campaigns.

Remediation reassessment

Can the original behavior still be reproduced after a fix?

Review reachability, authentication, build, and configuration alongside the new evidence.

ILLUSTRATIVE PROGRAM DESIGN

Choose a cadence, not a blanket promise.

These examples are starting points, not customer results, throughput benchmarks, or safe-load recommendations. Set frequency and depth around operational needs, access, and assessment requirements.

Workstream

Example cadence

Purpose

Fast-changing staging app

Nightly

Revisit behavior as the application evolves.

Important application or API

Weekly

Maintain a regular adversarial assessment cycle.

Production service

Monthly at an approved start time

Reassess at a cadence suited to operational requirements.

Verified-domain surface

Recurring mapping sweep

Compare reachable services across observations.

Release readiness

CI/CD check

Evaluate findings at a deployment decision point.

Remediation investigation

On demand

Examine affected behavior after a fix.

Supported recurrence includes multi-hour intervals, daily, weekly, and custom patterns such as monthly. The minimum interval is two hours. Select the time zone explicitly; a scheduled start does not guarantee an enforced end time.

OPERATIONAL READINESS

A saved schedule is intent. History shows execution.

A saved schedule is intent. History shows execution.

Review next execution, readiness information, recent results, and occurrence history. A failed, deferred, or skipped launch is an operational gap to investigate, not a clean security result.

Review area

What the team should check

Authorization & target

Confirm target eligibility, scope, and launch authorization. New discoveries require their own assessment approval.

Unattended authentication

Use a supported method suitable for unattended execution. Schedules do not carry an interactive login session.

Private-network reach

Check that the required campaign agent is available, connected, and able to reach the target.

Build selection

Mobile schedules bind a configured build; do not assume automatic selection of the newest release.

Execution history

Inspect launched campaigns and failed, deferred, or skipped occurrences. Not every missed run is replayed.

Notifications & reports

Configured recipients can receive completion summaries, report access, available PDF exports, and relevant launch-failure state changes.

Create active or paused, then pause, resume, edit, duplicate, or use Run now as needed. Pausing a schedule and stopping already-running work are separate decisions.
